Wake Up!

Who needs sleep anyway? I mean, isn't it much more exciting to be woken up by thousands of huge ice cubes falling from the sky? Just the other day my city-slicker NYC brother was commenting on how much he missed the crazy spring storms we have in Texas. The huge billowy, colorful storm clouds, the dramatic lightning shows, the "destroy the Eastman's sunroof" hailstorms....yeah....thanks for JINXING me little bro!!!

But it's ok....I'm a TEXAS girl through and through. And even if I have to brave a few tornadoes, hail storms, summer heat and fire ants....it's ok because I get to say I'm a Texas girl and that's worth it.

Extended Family

This family was a lot of fun. I could tell they all really like eachother and like to laugh a lot. We got some really great group shots as well as individual family shots. (don't you just love the poor little guy in the cast?) Extended family portraits are some of my favorite to photograph because they always seem to bring out a few more smiles. Grandparents, grandkids, aunts and uncles.....everyone together for a few fun days.

Spring Break

Spring break '09 was a pretty laid back affair for the Eastmans. We didn't go anywhere fancy or fun this year but it was still nice just to relax with the kids at home. (sometimes you need a few days just to kick back and relax right?)

Lucky for me these girls hung around town too. We had fun finding new places to shoot and I learned that if you want a senior to make a "serious" face.....don't invite their friends to the photoshoot. :)

Terrible 2's? No way!

This little cutie came for her 2 year old portraits the other day. She had about 30 seconds of showing her "terrible 2's" side before she decided to wow us with an entire session of smiles. I think this one really likes the camera.

By the way....I REALLY love my new chair! If any of you happen to find cool chairs like this while you are out shopping, please call me! I want more!

Dreaming in Technicolor

I always wanted to be an artist. I did ok in art class growing up but it was my brother Paul who became the official artist in the family. (he is a totally amazing artist!) I would try to paint what was in my head but it never seemed to turn out the way I wanted on paper. Not even close! Lucky for me, technology has changed to a point that I can manipulate a photograph into the "vision" I had when I was looking through the viewfinder. I dreamed of this ethereal, whimsical scene for months before I could drag a couple of unwilling subjects to this spot. I love how it turned out. The current artistic vision in my head involves castles and huge cliffs overlooking the coastline of Northern Ireland. Can someone pass along the subtle hint to my husband that this "artist" needs a bigger canvas to work with?

College Bound

We had the most beautiful weather this weekend. I had a great time photographing this "almost" graduate. (just a few more months and you're done!) Good luck up north girl! You are going to have so much fun at college.

A few more of my Awesome Senior Reps

Just a few more of the indoor session with my senior reps. They will be doing outdoor shots next so I'll get those up soon.

(don't these girls have the most amazing hair?)
And thanks for trying the "graffiti wall "B", I think you look awesome on it!

Isn't she so pretty?!

What a knockout! This prego mommy was so elegant and pretty. I just love, love, love what we got from her session. Almost makes me want to have another one.....almost.

I am saving the mommy/daddy together shots as a surprise for them.

I also got to photograph the two older kiddos and the 3 month old pug puppy. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a cuter puppy. I want that dog!
