WHERE'S WALDO? (4th of July style)

Here's a little spin on the where's waldo game that will hopefully make some of my faithful blog readers happy. As a little reward for being the first to see this, I am offering a certificate for $100 off any portrait collection package . (no cash value) This session MUST be completed in July or August 2009.
All you have to do is be one of the first 4 people to call me and tell me where the red and white fireworks are hidden in my website gallery. I'm not going to say which gallery they are in, so you will have to hunt. (but I promise it's not too hard to spot)
I will give blog readers this weekend for a head start and then Monday I will send out emails to the rest of my clients. Good luck and have a fun 4th of July!
go to pebblebrookportraits.com and check the Galleries
Call me at 817-368-4446 or email waterfallphotography@yahoo.com
Update: 2 people have played the game and won, 2 more to go....
3 people have played the game and won, 1 more to go....
Thanks everyone for playing the game! We have all 4 now.

My Assistant

I love summertime because my very talented daughter can help me on photo shoots. She usually holds the reflector for me but sometimes if we have an especially fun/easygoing subject like this one, I'll hold the reflector for her and let her practice with her camera. She is learning more every day and I think she's pretty darn good for 14. Here's a couple of shots showing her vision of the session I did below.

San Antonio Portrait Sessions

I will be in beautiful San Antonio June 29- July 3. This will be a trip to visit family members and have a little fun exploring the city. Anyone who's ever been to San Antonio knows it is full of beautiful parks with old stone walls/bridges, lush landscaping and of course the missions. If you are in town that same week and would like to do a portrait session, contact me for information. I will be offering very reduced rates on sessions. Why? Because I just can't go to a city like that and not do my photography thing....it would just be too painful. ;)

Update: Looks like we have a few sessions scheduled for the Japanese Tea Gardens in downtown San Antonio. It is a beautiful setting that dates back to 1901. I am so excited to photograph the old stone walls and abundant flowers. Let me know if you would like to have your family photographed here. I am also available for other San Antonio locations.
Tuesday and Friday are now full.

Something's in the water...3 girls in a row! DFW Newborn Photographer

This was my 3rd baby girl session in a row, and my 3rd party girl. I always tell people that babies under one week sleep the whole time. These last 3 little ladies have proven me wrong. We finally wore her down (thanks to a very talented "baby whisperer mommy") and got some of the sweetest images. I love how peaceful and calm she looks here. It totally fits her. Even when she was awake, she was so dainty and sweet. How could she not be with 3 big sisters. I see lots of hairbows, tea-parties and playing dress-up in little W's future.

Gone Camping....

I will be a chaperone for my daughter's girl's camp for the next week. Wish me luck with the mosquitos, chiggers, cold showers, lack of AC, blisters, and we just found out....scorpions in the showers and copperhead snakes in the high grass. Should I survive these lovely perks...I will resume sessions next Monday the 15th. I will be checking email while tromping through the woods though so feel free to send me a little love from the city. :)
(I know it sounds like I'm dreading it but I'm actually pretty excited...I love camping!)
Update: Camp was awesome! We all had so much fun and only got a little bit of the rain and wind that totally attacked the dfw metroplex. The only thing we could have done without was the MICE! We named our cabin "Mouse Motel". Luckily they moved us to a new cabin the next night or I don't think any of us would have slept a wink after that. (and now I know where Walt Disney got his idea for Mickey Mouse....the field mice! They had the hugest big round ears just like Mickey Mouse) Ick, so glad to come home to a cold house and no mud, mice or bugs!

My new favorite place to shop!

Two of my really good girlfriends just opened the cutest little shop in Keller. It is called Real Deals and it has all kinds of home decor stuff. (on the corner of 377 and Kroger Rd.)
Every time I go in there I leave with some kind of new treasure. The store is broken down into little corners, each with different themes. My very favorite corner is the one where everything is black and white. I LOVE everything in there. Today I found this adorable little zebra stool and then over in the girly pink corner I found this pink fabric. It took me about 2 hours to find myself a little model (thanks to a nice lady I met at the pool) and take some test shots. I'm thinking this is going to be a fun prop for all the girly girls that come into my studio.

Welcome Little One!

It was cloudy and dark this morning so we had to work a little harder to find good window light. Lucky for us this is Texas, the sun can't help itself but to shine 99% of the time here. We ended up finding some really pretty soft light. This is another in-home newborn session and I'm really thinking I like these!
Isn't she so cute? And those sweet pouty lips....all girl!
